Our Team at Duchess Nursery Steventon, Oxfordshire OX13

Our dedicated team of nursery practitioners are all well-qualified, trained and DBS checked. They have had many years of experience in nurturing young minds and delivering creative and stimulating learning experiences.

Louise Rose

Louise has 20+ years of experience in childcare. She has a level 3 certificate in Childcare and Education and has been working within the nursery group for 15 years. She has been the Steventon Nursery Manager for 2 years now and is a mum of 3.

Louise says:

“I am a passionate, organised and hands on leader who focusses on play based and discovery learning environments. I believe in fostering strong relationships with my families and having dynamic happy staff who work together as a team to provide a high standard of provision. I am excited to become part of the Duchess Nursery and wider Chatsworth Schools' family.”

Abi

Deputy Manager/ Pre-School Leader - Level 3

Abi is the deputy manager and preschool leader. She joined us in September 2005 and is a level 3 childcare practitioner with 12 years’ experience in childcare. Abi is also our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator.
Abi says:

"I have a passion for early years and am thoroughly enjoying developing the preschool environment to make it a fun, exciting and stimulating space for the children to explore. I enjoy working closely with my team to provide the highest quality of care to our children and families."

Andrea

Nursery Practitioner/ Dragonfiles Room Leader/ 3rd in Charge - Level 6

Andrea joined the nursery team in Summer 2023. She has recently achieved her level 6 qualification and is the nursery's mental health and well being champion.
Andrea says:

" My aim is to provide a safe, cosy, happy , creative and stimulating environment for the babies to thrive in. I believe in celebrating every achievement, each first word and step alongside the staff and the families of the babies we care for."

Victoria

Currently on maternity leave

Victoria is our Dragonflies room leader and is a Level 3 childcare practitioner. She joined us in August 2021 and she has 3+ years’ experience in childcare.
Victoria says:

"I really enjoy my job as I give children that valuable start in life, helping children to develop their social skills in a safe and caring environment that promotes learning through play. I thoroughly enjoy watching the children achieve each milestone, knowing that I have made a difference by supporting them."

Kieran

Nursery Practitioner/ Griffins Room Leader - Level 3

Kieran works in our toddler room and is a Level 3 childcare practitioner. He joined our Nursery in Spring 2023 and has 13 years experience in childcare.
Kieran says:

"I started working in Childcare at 16 when i left school and after my work experience drove me to join the world of Childcare.I really enjoy supporting the children's learning through messy and creative play. I have a passion for being outdoors and am looking forward to building the children's love for outdoors."

Emily

Nursery Practitioner/ Griffins Room

Emily joined our Griffins team as a level 3 nursery practitioner in summer 2023.
Emily says:

" I have a massive passion for Childcare. I enjoy seeing the children strive and develop on a daily basis. Seeing that ever developing confidence and independence grow as they prepare for the next adventure of school is the best reward."

Joshua

Nursery Assistant/ Dragons Room

Josh joined is in 2022 as an nursery assistant in our Dragons Room.
Josh says:

"I am really looking forward to starting my childcare career here at Duchess Nursery Steventon. I'm excited to spend my time with the children watching them grow and develop as they get older"

Sam

Our lovely Nursery Cook!

Sam is our nursery cook and she joined our team in November 2020. Sam also holds a Level 2 qualification as is very experienced in a child centred environment.
Sam says:

"I have enjoyed creating delicious menus that appeal to the little ones at Duchess Nursery and it is such a happy place to work!"

Kat

Nursery Practitioner - Level 3

Kat has worked in our nursery since November 2018 and is a Level 3 childcare practitioner. Kat supports across all areas of the nursery and has 18 years’ experience in childcare.
Kat says:

"It brings me great happiness to watch the children grow and develop in every way possible."

Oana

Nursery Assistant/ Dragonflies Room

Oana joined us in 2021 in our Griffins Room. Since then has joined our Dragonflies Room and is currently in the process of completing her Level 2 qualification in childcare.
Oana says:

"I love working in childcare and watching the children grow and seeing those giggling smiles every day. I am very passionate about seeing the children grow and develop while they learn and learn, knowing that we helped to give them the very best start in life"

Courtney

Nursery Assistant/ Dragonflies Room

Courtney joined us in October 2023 in our Dragonflies room as a nursery assistant and is very excited to start her childcare journey with us.
Courtney says:

" I recently joined the team in October 2023. I have loved forming bonds with the children and staff. I love seeing the children, learning new things everyday."

Amy

Nursery Assistant/ Dragonflies Room

Amy came to the nursery as a mummy seeking childcare and joined us a short time later as a nursery assistant in Spring 2023.
Amy says:

"Since becoming a Mother myself, I have witnessed first hand the impact that nursery workers have on my daughter. This influenced me to change career in Childcare. I love helping the children to learn new things and watching their own little (or big) personalities develop."

Gemma

Nursery Assistant/ Griffins Room

Gemma joined our Dragonflies team as a nursery assistant. She has now moved to our Griffins room and is completing her Level 2 qualification in childcare.
Gemma says:

"I am currently working with the Dragonflies. I really enjoy seeing what happens in their day to day activities, knowing that I have had a hand in developing their skills and achieving their milestones"
